State Senate districts

Redistricting note

Legislative redistricting (based on results of the 2010 census) was completed in April 2011. Candidate filing deadlines have been pushed back. There were changes to every district - and some were substantial. Congressional, redistricting is scheduled for June. For updated info, see Va. redistricting site and VPAP.

There are nine State Senate districts in Fairfax County, and five of those districts include parts northern Fairfax. McLean, Reston and Herdon are in the 32nd District; the Chantilly area and eastern Dulles are in the 33rd; Vienna, Fair Lakes and Fairfax City are in the 34th. Other nearby communities are in the 35th and 37th Districts.
